New lip lovesFebruary 07, 2016
When it comes to lip products, I'm pretty fussy. I'm not the biggest lipstick wearer, and when I do, it tends to always be the same natural toned shades - I'm by no means adventurous in the colour department! My main lip product obsession lies with lip balm - I've tried what feels like thousands over the years but only a small few qualify for permeant residence. Though, despite my critical tendencies, the two newest additions have been ticking all the boxes.
I'm obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury make-up at the moment, it feels like I have the entire collection on my wish list. If I had the money (which most unfortunately I don't *sigh*) I would probably just buy the whole counter without hesitation. I'm in love with the rose gold packaging and couldn't resist picking up one of her lipsticks last month as it is perhaps one of the prettiest products I've ever seen!
Luckily, it's not just the packaging that's stolen my heart as I'm a huge fan of the colour and formula too. I have the shade Bitch Perfect from the kissing range, a gorgeous 'my lips but better' tone which makes is so easy to wear and apply. It glides effortlessly onto lips and leaves them looking smooth and luminous. My favourite thing though, and always the most important for me, is that it hydrates my lips rather than drying them out as I wear it.
I think this might be my favourite lipstick of all time. A huge statement but it does have everything covered. I'm intrigued to try a few more shades from the range but this colour is so perfect I'm not sure if I would actually get much wear out of any others!
Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in the shade 01 honey, is one of those products that I didn't think I would like but was completely proved wrong by. I really dislike glossy and sticky lip products so this just didn't seem to be something that would suit me but I received it as a gift and boy am I glad.
This oil is one of the most hydrating balms I've ever come across. It feels so soothing when applied and my lips still feel nourished hours after it's worn off. I'm even quite partial to the glossy finish as it's not at all sticky or greasy but really helps my lips feel smooth and hydrated. The honey scent is also really nice and sweet without being too sickly. If you're looking for a really rich balm then it's definitely worth giving a go.
