♡ October Favorites

November 07, 2013

As I've just started a new job my blog has had to take a bit of a back seat lately, but I figured that a favorites post is probably better late than never?! Hopefully i'll be back on track for a more regular posing schedule soon.

1. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm
I've been massaging a small blob of this into my skin and then washing off with a muslin cloth or flannel every night for the past few weeks. It removes all my makeup and leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed without making it feel stripped or dry. It's so gentle it doesn't even sting my eyes when used to remove eye makeup.

2. Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish
After my little rant about this stuff here, it's no surprise that this little bottle has made it into my favorites. It's truly mighty stuff - the dry spray adds volume to my fine locks with ease and without any damage or powdery white marks.

3. Essie Not Just A Pretty Face
Despite being the time of year you would  usually associate with dark and rich toned nail polish, I've fallen head over heels for a pastel pink offering (typical!). I'm a huge fan of Essie nail polishes in general so when I spotted this dusky pink in the aisles of Boots, I just couldn't resist adding another to my collection.

4. Origins GinZing Moisturizer
I've been using this every morning over the past month for an injection of moisture and glow that's perfect for perking up the skin and hiding any signs of a late night (or two...). As it's oil free, it delivers the perfect amount of hydration without leaving my skin looking too oily or shiny throughout the day. Oh, and the orange and lemon scent is also pretty nice and refreshing first thing in the morning! Full review here.

5. Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Hand Cream
With the arrival of the colder weather my hands have felt pretty dry and uncomfortable lately. A small blob of this stuff seems to be sorting them out and i'm in love with the smell, it's almost good enough to eat! For £13 it's definitely not the cheapest hand cream out there but it makes a nice treat and a little goes a long way.

What have you been loving lately?

  2. I LOVE that shade of Essie nail polish, already treated myself to two new shades this week but that's definitely next on the list. I've got really fine hair so that Bumble and Bumble stuff sounds very appealing.
