June Favourites

July 07, 2014

Like every other month this year June has flown by (seriously though, where does time go?!), but this hasn't stopped me finding a generous handful of new beauty gems. To put it bluntly, i've been a little bit too 'spend happy' this month, but at least i've found some good products in the process (let's just not mention the bank statement...)

This stuff is amazing, simple as that - but just to make sure I convince you, i'll delve a little further into its miracle working ways! I have dry really dry hair that can be quite prone to frizz. It's also really fine which makes it rather difficult to find a product that adds enough moisture to tame the dry ends without weighing it down. That is until I found this Redken spray. I spritz some into the lengths of my hair when I get out of the shower and brush through. It makes my hair so smooth and shiny without feeling at all heavy and generally just makes it look a lot healthier than it probably is! It also helps protect against heat damage, what more could you ask for?!

I raved about this at the beginning of June (here), so it's probably no surprise that it's in my monthly favourites! Hydrating, nourishing and perfect for on the go - I'm quickly swiping my way through this!

As much as I love black eyeliner, I've been wanting to try something softer and more day-time friendly. Mac's Teddy is a dark brown with subtle gold metallic shimmer. It's a lot softer than black but still dark enough to define and add definition. I've been wearing it on my upper lash line but it's also great for using on the waterline as it's long lasting and doesn't smudge.

Despite already owning one of these blushes in the shade Plumb Pop, I could't resist picking up another one and the shade Peach Pop just has me written all over it! It creates the perfect illusion of a healthy glow that's perfect for summer. The formula of the blush pops is also pretty amazing; somewhere in-between a powder and a cream, they apply effortlessly and last well throughout the day.

Bobbi Brown Sheer Powder Brush
I also raved about this at the beginning of June (here). It's the perfect blush brush for a sheer wash of colour that fits the small proportions of my pea head.

The Wet Brush
The brush that makes brushing hair eaaasy. I'm a huge fan of the Tangle Teezer, but I have to admit, I think I prefer The Wet Brush. It glides easily through knotty hair, wet or dry, and is also a lot easier to hold than the Tangle Teezer (on several occasions i've had to chase after my Tangle Teezer after it went flying out of my hands and half way across the room!). It's also a lot less damaging to hair than a normal brush, i'd definitely recommend giving it a go.
