From me, to me - Chanel Charming Ombres Matelassées de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette

Just before Christmas I decided to treat myself to an early (self bought) present. Using the hefty amount of Boots advantage card points I had accumulated throughout the year, I surcame to temptation and purchased the much coveted Chanel Charming Ombres Matelassées de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette (well actually I like to think of it as 'free' but ya' know). After falling victim to Lisa Eldridge's Video featuring the said palette, and the bombardment of blog posts that soon followed, I simply couldn't resist.

Not only is this palette absolutely stunning, but the neutral offering is perfect for everyday wear. After finally building up the courage to ruin the beautiful quilted pattern and actually use the shadows (trust me, this took a while), i'm pleased to report that the quality and consistency is just as pleasing as the aesthetics. The three center shades in particular have been getting a lot of love lately, though all the colours are completely wearable (something I usually find to be a rare occurrence). I can't deny that this is one of my all time favorite palettes.

Unfortunately, as a limited edition product these now seem pretty hard to come by, though I think there might still be some floating around on counters.

    I love Chanel eye shadows but I couldn't convince myself to buy this palette.

    It's beautiful, and every time I saw it my resolve would falter but the limited edition aspect is what put me off. I can't stand loving something and it running out and then never being able to replace it. I shouldn't say any of this here though...

    It's nice to see it featured again because it really is a gem.

    Oooh these are such gorgeous, wearable colors! I have the NYC trio in Bronzed in Brooklyn which reminds me of the shimmery version of this palette.

    I was so tempted with this but I think my procrastination will have led to an inability to get hold of this. It's such a great neutral palette and far more attractive than the Urban Decay basics I wish I'd got it when I had the chance.
